PHOS Gourmet meets Arcadian land and offers you a distinguished Vanilla Fir Honey with exceptional texture, amber color and vanilla taste.
The Vanilla Fir-Tree honey is produced from the fir trees of Mainalo mountain in Arcadia, Peloponnese. The mountain slopes are densely planted with Cephalonia fir tree (Abies cephalonica), a species that only exist in Greece.
It is entirely produced by beehives situated in Mainalon, by traditional way, and has a very distinct color and taste compared with any other honey. Its color is golden-actually a color tone between caramel and vanilla. The texture of this honey is thick and velvety, due to its low humidity percentage. It has an exclusive taste without any strong aroma and it is distinguished for its subtle sweetness and deep aftertaste.
Vanilla Fir honey never crystallizes, because of its low glucose content.
This exceptional honey has high content in minerals and it is rich in trace elements.
